How can people think like that? I just can't believe it. It's horrible.

Last month in California, a 15-year-old boy, Lawrence King, who suffered taunting and bullying by his classmates because of his sexual orientation, was killed by one of those classmates – a 14-year-old boy. The week after Lawrence King's death saw the murder of another teen, this time a 17-year-old transgender youth in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

This country is full of shit. At least it's people are. No wonder people hate Americans in other countries; they don't tolerate anyone who's different than their pious religious selves. America goes fucking gallavanting over to other places to conform them to democracy and equality, but it doesn't even exist in fucking America.

I'm tired of this shit.

	Yeah, why can't they just get married and cheat on their wives with hookers like normal people. I'm sorry kid, yes you're right, people are often suspicious, assume the worst, about that which is different than them. The level of ignorance inherent to our political leaders is appalling.

I once had to have a conversation with my ex's 9 year old daughter, who after visiting her mother for a weekend, came home in tears and told me her mother made her promise to never be gay. The poor kid didn't even know what it meant, but followed mommy's orders. She didn't know several of her family members were gay, openly, and I ended up calling in my best friend and her girlfriend to explain it all.

I personally feel if you can offer love and companionship to someone, vow it for life, then you have something beautiful, regardless of gender.

There's my rant for the day...

I was watching the news during gay pride week, with my family. Apparently there was a lesbian Fire Chief who made two of her homophobic guys work the parade day because of unkind comments, and the guys got attention from some of the gay parade members.

The news covered it like the gays were harassing them on purpose, and my family was outraged that the lesbian fire chief had the gall to do that... and they wouldn't listen when I argued that the gays in the parade had no fucking way of knowing that the MEN working at the GAY PRIDE PARADE -weren't- gay. It was... disgusting.

I honestly believe that Jesus and his cult were two of the worst things to happen to this country. The followers follow the teaching to a certain extent, and when they find someone who goes against one of their teachings, they think it's their god-given right to change that person, or make it known that they are an abomination.

Now, if people would actually -follow- Jesus' teachings, we'd be -fine-. If people would be content to live and let live, we'd be fine. But most people do neither.

It just -pisses- me off.

I apologize to any decent Christians out there, the only problem I have with Jesus is the vast majority of his followers.

I think this sort of intolerant attitude is detestable, too, and wish these people would get over themselves, already. HOWEVER ... by and large, I will say that all the strife we see in this country is due to the fact it IS made up of different people - not just preferences, but races, backgrounds, social classes, beliefs, religions, politics. No country in the world is as heterogenized as the U.S. (even if a big number of us are European white-descended), for as long. No wonder we have so much bitching and arguing and crime going on here!

I'm not saying my fellow Americans don't occasionally suck. I'm not flying the flag. I'm just saying, don't give up totally YET.

You know, she actually has a point. I mean, Greek civilization didn't really last long. Only..... what 500 years? Wow. That isn't very long. (and yes yes, it wasn't homosexuality in the modern sense.... blah blh blah) And Canada. They're fucked too aren't they?

And yes, of course the education system. How on earth did she figure out that's what we're targetting next! Just like the jews control the media!

Conspiracy theories. They don't work because of their nature, if there was a homosexual agenda or if little kids were targeted, people would know. This just goes to show how fucking stupid people are.

America is an ethnocentric bunch of assholes. We're stupid. Our economy is in the toilet. China has a large chunk of capital invested in our banking system, so it didn't go bankrupt a few months back, and so now we can't object to any policy that China has. We're stupid. What happened to personal accountability? WESTERN CIVILIZATION IS ONTHE DECLINE!!! It's about time. OUr social structure is inherently violent towards women and minorities. We deserve this.

Its really ironic they killed a trans-person too. The suicide rate is 50% by age 30. They don't even need to do it the dirty way, just wait long enough, and push hard enough and we'll off ourselves for them. It's a really depressing world. being at college makes me forget what things are like until I go back home.

	First off, that icon is cool! What's it from? The one I'm writing atm doesn't have any torture. I need to write that Jack!torture fic, but I can't seem to make up my mind about it. Now I'm starting to think that using Barbossa & the mutiny would be a good idea, but I'll probably change my mind again. I also have Will!torture ideas... or rather Will comfort ideas.
